Find a Way

It's Sunday, and I'm feeling pretty lazy....haven't started on HW (though I know I should), and really haven't left the room. I was going to walk a few blocks down to Goodwill, but went at 9, and found out they weren't open until 10. I'm pushing that until tomorrow, since they're having a sale then anyhow. :D

Jumper: Target
Shirt: Primark
Belt: Modcloth
Tights: Modcloth

It's one of my favorite dresses/jumpers, but I haven't worn it on it's own yet, since I don't think it's quite warm enough outside. I can't wait to break out the summer dresses....now that Christmas is over, I'm not such a big fan of winter. :(

Also did some doodling this morning (I guess that counts as productive...?):

"Layla" came up on my Pandora playlist last night, and since then I haven't stopped listening to it. Amazzzzzing song, even though I wish they'd just chop off the last 5 minutes of it. :/

Free Day

Wednesdays are practically my day off...only one class, but not until 7 pm. It runs for about 3 hours, which is sort of cray, but at least it's not a studio class. D:

Decided to be a good sister and draw my younger sister a picture for the story she's been working on, Anachronism Cafe. At first I was bummed out because I'm used to her writing fantasy stories (my absolute favorite was her Peter Pan revamp...we're working on it as a comic), and this was a scifi. Buuuut...she's awesome, and ended up writing an awesome scifi story. Of course.

The main character's Glory, and her sister is Honor. Only when I was coloring Glory in did my roomie swagger over and point out she bared a resemblance to me...I'll have to ask my sister who the grumpy, irritable, red-headed college student is based on. XD

Dress: Free People (sale :D)
Sweater: Mosimmo
Necklace: Target

Purple's my favorite color, but it seems like all my winter clothes are black. I'm trying to work more color into my closet, so I'll see how that goes.

Thanks for the input yesterday; I'll post my thumbnail ideas after I work on them tonight in my lecture class. XD

The Journey Home

The last two days have been a little rough; just in terms of traveling. Spring semester started up today, so yesterday was flying from Point A to Point B to Point C, then driving to Point D. I think the total traveling time was only about 6 hours, but dang; with jetlag and layovers, it was draining.
We celebrated my 20th birthday on Saturday, even though it's not for two weeks; we saw True Grit, went to my favorite restaraunt, and I was uleashed upon my favorite boutiques and thrift stores (the result...a Betsey Johnson jacket and party dress, pics to come soon!). It was a fantastic day, but knowing I'd have to leave the day after was a bummer.

Here's a quick drawing I did of a tattoo idea I was toying around with. Someone once told me that my head was "A Rococo Mess"; I think he was trying to insult me, but it's kind of the coolest thing someone's told me in a while. Anyhow, I don't see it as a bad thing.

Aaaand here's what I wore today! Probably not the smartest idea, since it was a lot hotter here than I'm used to (and I know you can't see, but it's a short skirt with black leggings underneath), and the belt felt pretty heavy by the end of the day. D:
Whatever, I thought the flowers were pretty. :'D

Shirt: H&M
Skirt: Papaya
Belt: Forever 21 (AGAIN :P )

A Million Ways

So, I'm thinking this is the last illustration I can do before the semester starts back up again. D:

And tried on my new-ish dress, too! I'd seen it on Modcloth and really wanted it, but then I found it in a local boutique on sale and grabbed it immediately. :D
More winter-izing, though...it's still a little chilly out. :/

Top: H&M (about four years ago D:)
Dress: Lush
Belt: Forever 21

Monochrome

Ha, everuthing I'm wearing today is black, brown or grey....ironic, since it actually looks like it'll be sunny out. Well, at least it'll still be cold. :|

Jacket: Target (it has a little bustle-y bit on the back :D )
Shirt: Pimkie, I think
Belt: Forever 21
Skirt: Charlotte Russe

Hat: Modified from Claire's :D
Shoes: Diesel, from Buffalo Exchange

I know the blog header says "clothes and illustration"....so, here's the illustration bit!

It's watercolor and marker; I'm trying to cram in as much personal drawing as I can before heading back to campus next week. :D
