Night Sky

Dress: Ryu via Midcloth
Sweater: F21
Socks: Betsey Johnson
Boots: Spotted Moth
Wowww...I really haven't made a post in a while. I promised myself that I'd post on Friday, but things just got crazy busy and I'm just getting around to it now. :P
I submitted some of my illustrations with decent grades to the "Best of" show...didn't get in , but I really wasn't expecting to. After walking through the submission room, there was no way my pitiful drawings would get put up alongside of the glorious art from the upperclassmen. Ah, well, figured I'd at least give it a shot, then try again next year.

This is one of the dresses I got from the Cabin Fever sale Modcloth had a few months ago. I'm enamored with Ryu dresses (so much lace!), so to see it at such a great price really made my day. It's really comfy as well...even if it is a bit too dark for a Florida summer. :/

Here's what I've been up to art-wise:

It's a sketch for a music poster we're working on in my Graphic Design class (Melora Creager from Rasputina). The actualy poster is in a different direction entirely now, but I kind of like this one and thought I'd post it anyhow.
Happy Monday!

  1. I love the black dress! And your art is so very wonderful. You are talented my dear and I would love to see some more of your work! (I think you should definitely be in the art show :-) xoxo

  2. I love the little lace detailing on the dress and those boots are gorgeous! Also, based on the illustrations Ive seen from you, I cant believe you weren't chosen for the show... but at least you're not too upset about it. And getting accepted in the future will be much more sweet having felt the pain of rejection in the past, right?
PS, what part of FL are you in? I have a hard time wearing black down here too, as it's so blue and hot and sunny all the time.

  3. awesome sketch!! and i love your shoes :) cute dress!
