Don't Get Caught

Got assigned our first Illustration assignment for the semester; it should be a fun one, but I'm having some trouble deciding...
We're supposed to take a master painting and put a twist on it. Sounds easy and fun...but there's a ton of paintings I want to try, and I'm not really sure where I should head. Here are some of my top picks:

Delacroix

Degas

Fragonard

Pretty well-known...and pretty expected, from what I've shown you of my art, right? XD
(At least the Rococo-era Fragonard...)

Oh look...some of my messy dorm in the background. D:
Anyhow, went with shorts today...I left all my pants at home. Bad idea!
Well, at least I didn't get overheated today.

Shirt: Dockers
Sweater: Target
Shorts: Mossimo
Boots: Spotted Moth

(Listening to the Zutons...could you tell? XD)

  1. Delacroix would be my pick. I imagine you would have wonderful ideas with this painting!

  2. Degas... I can think of making it "modern" or change the emotion of the picture quite easily.
